Curiously

Curiously is an unusual old-style serif display family full of printer’s flowers. Use it for that weird children’s book you’ve been meaning to write!

Curiously is fueled by a fascination for 15th century Roman letterforms and beautiful children’s books. It comes in Regular, Black and Text and Ornaments. The family works well for logos, branding, book covers, and editorials. Perfect for artisan brands or handmade goods. At first, I kept ornaments at the bottom of my to-do list and tried to avoid the temptation in the interest of time. However, after a few of the teachers encouraged me to spend some time on them, I became fixated, especially once I started making patterns. I’m very much looking forward to expanding on the idea and working more carefully with scale and line weight. It would also be great to explore code–generated patterns and animation.
