Madrecuixe

Madrecuixe is a Mexican typeface inspired by the endemic wild agaves used to elaborate mezcal in Mexico. Based on the expressive forms that the Madrecuixe species has when it’s found in nature. The typeface consists of three styles, Display, Text & Text Italic. Evolving its form depending on the style that is used.

Karla Pasten is a Mexican graphic designer focused on branding, lettering and illustration based in Hidalgo, Mexico. She is always looking to combine the barriers of illustration and lettering together. Is part of the Times New Woman movement, an initiative to empower Spanish-speaking women interested in letters and loves enjoying a cup of tea 3 times a day.
