Leafy is a typeface intended to express the feel of a garden & nature. The idea is expressed using calligraphy with subtle curves, and asymmetrical elements. Besides the Roman versions, Leafy has 4 more siblings which are its different italic styles. The intention is to generate distinctive ‘species’ for the ‘garden’. In general, the type family captures a warm, organic color with lots of unexpected elements.
Quang Huy Lê is a graphic designer, type practitioner & researcher based in Saigon, Vietnam. As a designer, he works tirelessly to explore historical techniques, study local approaches & enhancing visual communication. Outside work, Huy is a home-coffee-brewer since he loves making delicious drinks for his friends & family.
