Monasterio

Monasterio is a display type family interested in texture. Inspired by the sculptural works of Luiz Ortiz Monasterio and informed by Edward Catich’s Origin of the Serif, Monasterio currently consists of four styles. Intended for two ends of a typographer’s scale, encompassing a roman and italic display pair, and an optical pairing of micro and micro bold, Monasterio hopes to cover a wide spectrum of uses from the monumental to the intimate.
