Explorama

Explorama is a text type family designed to make serious or technical content more friendly to read, and encourage readers to dive into complex subjects. Originally intended for nautical adventures and drawing on my sailing experience, Explorama will suit all kinds of explorations. Explorama is built on the idea to explore and share, to take you on a journey, where you can comfortably discover and learn new things. Including weights from regular to black and italic, Explorama can apply in all places where knowledge is shared.

About Carine Vadet-Perrot

Carine Vadet-Perrot is a designer in Brittany, France. She specialized in graphic and now type design. Letterforms have always fascinated her, especially in the way they can express more than just words — sparking emotion and connecting people. Her favorite part in type design is that designing a typeface is an empowering and endless game. A game in which each one defines their own rules, and play as they want. Her journey in letter world started with a calligraphy workshop about roman capitals, since then she chose to learn from the most inspiring people she knows.

Quote by David Bowie, in Explorama typeface. The quote says: "Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in, go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.
From the bottom of the ocean to the Moon, Explorama will take you everywhere!" written with the typeface Explorama in different weights.
