Didotti

Porfirio Lopez

Didotti is a modern, rational serif font that is primarily designed for text use, offering excellent readability and elegance for longer passages. However, its refined features also make it suitable for display purposes, providing versatility for various design applications.

This typeface is a revival based on the font found in "Précis des leçons d'architecture" by J.-L.-N. Durand, a 19th-century cornerstone book for architectural education. Initially, I approached the design with Bodoni as the primary reference. However, as the project evolved, I discovered that the characteristics aligned more closely with Didot, which inspired the name of the revival.
