Hathaway Text is a translation serif designed for 10–14 point text, taking inspiration from a fusion of slab serif typefaces and a calligraphic pen. The typeface is suited for long-form reading on modern screens. The name comes from my neighborhood park in San Jose, California.
Daniel Nisbet is a designer specializing in branding, typeface design, and creative direction. Over the past 15 years, he has owned and operated a freelance design company, worked as an in-house graphic designer at an Am Law 200 law firm, and designed liveries for professional motor racing teams across the United States. Daniel enjoys teaching typeface design through public workshops and on his YouTube channel. Additionally, he co-founded TypeWknd, an online-only conference that makes type design accessible to those with an interest in the craft and profession.
